Limestone Students and Families,

Today, February 5, 2024, LCHS experienced a student behavior incident involving numerous students. As always, it is disappointing when a student, or groups of students, make poor decisions – especially with actions which threaten the safety and security of the school.  We understand the concern and apprehension that such incidents can evoke, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all our students.

First and foremost, please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. The incident in question is being thoroughly investigated by school administration, our school resource officer, and local law enforcement; and appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken in accordance with school policies.

I want to emphasize these behaviors are not reflective of the values we work to instill in Limestone Community High School students. Our school community promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation. We actively work to foster an environment which encourages open communication and positive conflict resolution. We understand that incidents like these can be unsettling. Your support and cooperation are invaluable in creating an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As always, students and/or parents can report concerns regarding school safety to the Dean’s Office, the school resource officer, a counselor, or any staff member. Safe2Help is a confidential way to report safety concerns via text message, email, or through the website. Please visit the school website or the back or your student ID for Safe2Help information. We appreciate your partnership in fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to school administration.
