Limestone Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Today, Limestone Community High School administration were made aware of a student safety concern involving a direct threat made by one student toward another via social media. As always, it is disappointing when a student makes a poor decision, particularly one that threatens the safety and well-being of others.

We understand that incidents of this nature can create concern within our school community. Please be assured that the situation was immediately investigated by school administration in collaboration with our School Resource Officer. The matter has also been referred to local law enforcement. While I cannot provide specific details regarding student discipline, I can assure you that beyond legal consequences, the student responsible will be held accountable for this behavior, up to and including expulsion from Limestone Community High School.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. Threats of any kind, whether made in person, online, or through social media, are taken extremely seriously. The purpose of this communication is to provide accurate information, reinforce the severity of making threats, and emphasize the critical importance of reporting concerning or threatening behavior. Early reporting allows us to investigate, intervene, and provide support before situations escalate.

We appreciate your continued partnership in helping us foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment for our students. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact school administration.

We will provide further information as appropriate.

Keith Brown, Superintendent
