It is National School Nurses Day! We are fortunate to have an amazing school nurse who is dedicated to the health, well-being, and safety of our students. Thanks Michelle Genovese for all you do at LCHS!

Congratulations to Coach Baskin and our Esports Team on a strong "Super Smash Bros season"! Caspian Adams and Kristian Ritterbusch both advanced to the IHSA Sectionals held last weekend and performed extremely well. Kristian Ritterbusch advanced to the IHSA State competition held in Evergreen Park this weekend. Kristian will take on 15 of the other top SSBU players in the state for a winner take all one day event!

Congratulations to Mr. Rolen and the LCHS Automotive Team for their 2nd place finish at the Mid Illini Automotive Competition yesterday (4/24). Kyle Monroe took 1st place in Disk Brakes. Nash Swearingian and Trevor Smallwood placed 1st and Joey Galletti and Earnest Sally placed 2nd in Scan Tool Diagnostics. Aydin Zachman placed 2nd in Electrical Measurement.

As a result of inclement weather, all games for tonight (4/16/2024) are canceled. Any team holding practice will be done by 4:30.

Today, Mrs. Minter's Forensic Science II students went to the Pekin FD where Tony Rendleman (LCHS grad) is deputy chief. They learned about arson investigation and saw a demonstration from an ignitable liquid detection dog named Sasha!




Today is also National School Librarian Day! We are thankful for Ms. Campbell and Mrs. Magstadt for all they do to ensure the library is a tremendous resource for staff and students!

This week is also National Assistant Principal Appreciation week. We are extremely thankful for our Assistant Principals, Mrs. Decker and Mr. Clausen, and all they do for LCHS!

Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day and we are celebrating our amazing paraprofessionals! Their unwavering dedication to students and their commitment to our learning community is greatly appreciated.
