The chess team had a good day at the Morton meet on Saturday. The varsity team went 2-2 with wins against Franklin and Hartem. Varsity team leaders were Cole Bart and Nathan Cox with 4 wins each and Ashton Ayler with 1 win and 2 draws. Tyler Suits and Will Manley also each had a win. We also had a great showing in the open division with 3 wins from Xavier Torrence, 2 wins each from Aiden Miller, Julian Hayden, Izzy Grant, and James Sibley.
Thank you to Clint Rezac of the Peoria Police Department who came to speak to forensics classes about the details of working in the different departments of the police force as well as how evidence can be "read" to help solve crimes. #rocksolid
