Due to winter weather forecasts and potential for hazardous road conditions, school is closed Wednesday, February 12, 2025. All after-school activities and practices are also canceled. This will be a traditional snow day. Stay home and stay safe.

Student Council reps traveled to grade schools yesterday to speak about Easterseals and carried out disability awareness lessons to students.

Tara (Boyer) Behrens (LCHS '08) is a neonatal nurse practitioner who talked to anatomy & medterm students about her job & the NICU at OSF.
Limestone Rockets fought hard against U-high tonight but didn't take the win. Lots of opportunities this week! Rocket Rowdies get out here and cheer our guys on!
French students participated in the King Cakes Challenge today. 🧁
Evan Vigneux and Val Allen were crowned for the taste & presentation of their cakes.

Students had fun yesterday at the Easterseals 3 vs 3 basketball tournament 🏀 #rocksolid
Congratulations to the Chess Team. They qualified for the IHSA State Tournament which will take place at the Civic Center on February 14th and 15th at the Peoria Civic Center. At sectionals, the team was led by Blaze Hochstetler and Nathan Cox with 3 wins each and by Ashton Ayler and Will Manley with 2 wins each. Good luck to the team at State!

The bittersweet emotions of coaching. We get the pleasure of celebrating our wrestlers who accomplished their goals today, empathize with the wrestlers whose seasons ended too soon, and encourage the young wrestlers who are just starting their varsity career. The Limestone wrestling team has four young men that qualified for sectionals and one sectional alternate.
Our alternate is Bruce Ryder at 215lbs.
The four Sectional Qualifiers...
106 - Kaleb Fuchs - 3rd place
113 - Kaiden Capranica 3rd place
120 - Christian Johnson 3rd place
190 - Ethan Dixon 3rd place
Congratulations to our sectional qualifiers, that is quite the accomplishment with the tough regional that we have. Now on to watch these guys punch their tickets to the state tournament.

What's happening at Limestone
The LCHS Speaking Rockets were back in action today at the IHSA Regional tournament at Monmouth-Roseville! Limestone took 4th place overall. We have 9 events advancing to the Sectional tournament!
