It was a great morning to celebrate students at the Spring Activities Assembly!










Select students from the LCHS Wind Ensemble performed as part of the Mid-Illini Honor Band, under the direction of Dr. Anthony Marinello.

Several science classes are participating in the (free!) international learning activity "March Mammal Madness," created by Arizona State University Biology Professor Dr.Katie Hinde.
The large blank bracket is posted in the science hall, and classes review the battles written by the professional scientists involved in the annual project.

What's happening today at LCHS

The Limestone Girls Soccer Team plays Macomb for 3rd place in the East Peoria Soccer Invite at Eastside Centre - 530pm.

The Limestone Varsity Baseball Team hosts Farmington at 430pm.

The Limestone robotics Team Argos 1756 heads to Bradley University for the Central Illinois Regional.

The Limestone Freshman and Sophomore Baseball Teams travel to Ottawa for a 430pm game vs the Pirates.

The Girls Track Team participated in a post-track meet practice by heading to Dairy Queen for free cone day.

The Limestone Girls Soccer Team open the season splitting a double header at the East Peoria Invite. The Rockets play Macomb at 530pm on Friday for 3rd place in the tournament.

The Limestone Softball Team falls to Normal Community High School 8-18.

Limestone Baseball opens the season with a victory over Orion at home.

French II students present their projects: The Vandertramp Stories








As part of the collaborative writing unit, creative writing students play out a short DnD campaign during class. This activity helps with improvisation and character development.



Biology students recorded qualitative and quantitative data as part of a kingdom fungi lab about decomposition. Each group has a control banana quarter and one coated with yeast.

Afternoon Driver Education Behind The Wheel students practiced the art of ordering in a drive-thru on Dairy Queen's Free Cone Day. (Don't worry, no student was actually eating and driving! Safety first! 😎)
