At roughly 2:15 this afternoon, the fire alarm at LCHS alerted a fire in a science classroom , prompting our evacuation (fire safety) procedures. The cause of the fire alarm was a science experiment, which generated a small amount of smoke in the lab space. Bartonville Fire Department arrived quickly and investigated. After being given the all clear, students returned to class at roughly 2:25. We would like to thank our staff, students, and administration for following our fire safety procedures quickly and safely. We would also like to thank the first responders at Bartonville Fire Department and Bartonville Police Department for their quick response.
