Yesterday, a few chemistry and AP chemistry students attended a demonstration put on by Bradley University’s Chemistry Club & Dr. Dean Campbell at the Riverfront Museum. They learned about BU alum Robert E Lawrence who was the first black astronaut, crystal lattice structures, and participated in an acid-base demo.🧪

☑️Sophia Pauli’s 4th place 400m and 5th place pole vault
☑️Finished the meet with a big personal best in 4x400 (4:38) with Pauli, Pauli, Thornton and Pilgrim.

Juniors and their parents are invited to attend College Night at LCHS on Wednesday, March 5th at 7 pm. Student Services will discuss how to be prepared for the college search and application process. They will also discuss financial aid and scholarship searches and answer any questions.

Physics students just finished a unit on the conservation of energy and simple machines. They are building Rube Goldberg machines to apply their knowledge of these concepts. They will record data such as measurements to determine the Ideal Mechanical Advantage (IMA) of the inclined planes featured in their machines. #rocksolid
